The position will be the secondary contact for all internal &amp; external licensing requests as well as acting as alternate liaison with State Boards of Pharmacy and Regulatory Authorities. Additionally, the position will be responsible for contributing with procedures relating to VAWD accreditations validity, receipt and wholesale shipment of all Rx Drugs, Devices as well as ancillary products.</p>

<p>The Technology Licensing Office of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has an entry level position available in technology transfer. The Technology Licensing Associate will administer, market and maintain license agreements for the office working under the direction of the appropriate Technology Licensing Officers.  The individual will communicate with the licensing officers’ industrial counterparts, faculty, patent attorneys and accountants.  The Associate will attend licensing negotiations with licensees and keep track of terms and issues.  The Associate will enter invention disclosure and licensing data into a database system and keep updated files.  The Associate will also participate in obtaining waivers of government rights to inventions, assist in marketing studies, and negotiate certain agreements.</p>

This Office of Research and Licensing provides resources for support of innovation and technology development across the company&#8217;s system.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:<br />
The Licensing Manager is an integral part of the senior management team of the Research and Licensing office, responsible for supervising and directing the efforts of a team of licensing professionals and for setting goals and strategy.  This candidate is a seasoned licensing professional who can work independently to conclude industrial relationships/contracts of varying complexity.  This candidate will work with investigators, outside counsel and industry to identify and protect the intellectual property arising from the investigators&#8217; research activities.  S/he will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating agreements pertaining to research, licensing and other aspects of investigator/industry interactions.
