Regulatory Licensing Specialist/Waltham, MA

The Senior Regulatory Licensing Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the acquisition and maintenance of all required wholesale licenses pertaining to the shipment of all Rx Drugs & Devices throughout the United States. The position will be the secondary contact for all internal & external licensing requests as well as acting as alternate liaison with State Boards of Pharmacy and Regulatory Authorities. Additionally, the position will be responsible for contributing with procedures relating to VAWD accreditations validity, receipt and wholesale shipment of all Rx Drugs, Devices as well as ancillary products.

Technology Transfer Consultant

The University of Massachusetts is seeking an interim technology transfer consultant to assist for several months to manage an OTL office. Must have a minimum experience of 5 years in an academic technology transfer office to be considered, including licensing negotiations and the marketing of technologies. The position could be part-time. The focus of the technologies will be primarily engineering related not life sciences.

Licensing Manager/Tech Transfer/New England

A premier New England institution seeks an experienced Manager/Assistant Director (depending on level of experience). The Office of Research and Licensing is responsible for all interactions having to do with industrial support of research, and the protection and commercialization of biological materials, medical devices and intellectual property (patents and copyrights). This Office of Research and Licensing provides resources for support of innovation and technology development across the company’s system.

Key Responsibilities:
The Licensing Manager is an integral part of the senior management team of the Research and Licensing office, responsible for supervising and directing the efforts of a team of licensing professionals and for setting goals and strategy. This candidate is a seasoned licensing professional who can work independently to conclude industrial relationships/contracts of varying complexity. This candidate will work with investigators, outside counsel and industry to identify and protect the intellectual property arising from the investigators’ research activities. S/he will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating agreements pertaining to research, licensing and other aspects of investigator/industry interactions. S/he may be an authorized signatory on institutional agreements.

Licensing Manager

The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a LICENSING MANAGER, Broad Institute, to evaluate scientific and novel aspects of Broad inventions, patentability, and commercial applications. Will manage the patenting process for inventions generated from multidisciplinary research and that jointly owned by multiple Broad partner institutions; identify potential commercial licensees, market inventions, and negotiate license and option agreements; monitor and maintain existing licenses; effectively and regularly communicate with Broad investigators and tech transfer offices of Broad collaborating institutions; manage the Broad intellectual property database, enter and analyze data, and keep the files up-to-date; and provide education for the Broad community on intellectual property matters.

Business Development Associate

The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard seeks a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, Broad Institute, to compose scientific industry agreements, e.g., confidentiality agreements, materials transfer, and collaboration agreements.  Will participate in contract negotiation meetings with industry sponsors, faculty, and staff, ensuring terms and issues relating to collaboration agreements are tracked and resolved; negotiate and resolve–in collaboration with the business development officer–problematic clauses in research collaboration agreements, including intellectual property and indemnification provisions; prepare master or consortium agreements and other unique scientific research relationships requiring special terms and conditions, coordinating input from Broad partner institutions; manage processes for industry agreements and invention disclosures and drive to completion, including detail tracking, reviewing, and reporting; serve as a liaison for and communicate regularly with Broad staff and tech transfer offices of Broad collaborating institutions; manage and expand the Broad business development database to meet Broad’s growing science and technology needs; and perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
