MTTC Spring 2007 Investigation Awards

MTTC will begin accepting Statements of Intent for the spring 2007 Investigation Awards on February 1, 2007. Awards are now $40,000 and up to ten will be granted. Another round is also planned for the fall of 2007.

These awards are intended to support the demonstration of the commercial viability of a technology. Funding could be used to develop a prototype or to gather initial data in order to show proof of concept or to obtain data that shows how the technology compares to existing technologies and what its competitive advantages are. The aim of the funding is not to perfect the technology but to develop the technology to a point where its features can be shown so that additional commercialization funding can be obtained.

The deadline for submitting a Statement of Intent is February 23, 2007. All qualified researchers and technology licensing officers are encouraged to apply. Please visit the updated Grants and Awards section of the MTTC website for information. If you have any questions, please contact Michele Bernier at:
