The Lemelson-MIT Program accepting applications for the 2011 $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize.

Are you an inventor or know someone who is? The Lemelson-MIT Program is currently seeking nominees for the 2011 $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize.

The Lemelson-MIT Prize is awarded to an outstanding mid-career inventor, who has developed a patented product or process of significant value to society, which has been adopted for practical use, or has a high probability of being adopted. CIMIT Prize for Primary Healthcare

CIMIT (the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology) has announced a dynamic new engineering prize competition: the CIMIT Prize for Primary Healthcare.

It calls for technological innovations with the greatest potential to support and catalyze improved delivery of healthcare at the frontlines of medicine. The top three entrants (individuals or teams) will receive $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000, respectively, to help advance their winning clinically relevant, primary care solutions.

Letters of intent will be accepted from December 1, 2008 - January 15, 2009.

Spring 2008 Investigation Awards

Due date approaching!

A Statement of Intent to Apply is due on March 14, 2008 and is less than a page long.  April 11, 2008 is the due date for full proposals.  Proposals will only be accepted by those who submitted a Statement of Intent.

Solicitation for the spring 2008 MTTC $40,000 Investigation Awards is now open.  Any Principal Investigator associated with a Massachusetts research institution is encouraged to apply.  This award program is open to all public and private research institutions, not just researchers associated with UMass. These awards provide a great opportunity to move inventions closer to commercialization.  Up to ten awards will be granted.
