Time: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: UMass Boston

This is the 1st annual Invention to Venture workshop hosted by the Venture Development Center and is open to entrepreneurs commercializing any technology, not just Clean Energy.

I2V Clean Energy is one in a series of events leading up to the $200,000 Ignite Clean Energy Competition (ICE). This day-long boot camp, chaired by Paul Wormser, the founding CEO of Konarka, is your chance to access important information, experts and advisors that will increase your chances of winning the ICE prize. If you are competing in ICE 2007 or are just curious about what it takes to be an entrepreneur, the I2V workshops are a great opportunity to learn from the region’s experts. This I2V is also part of EntrepreneurshipWeek USA and will be held at UMass Boston, easily accessible via the Red Line. For additional information, please contact Paul Wormser, 978-855-1147.

The workshop is an introduction to the process and practice of clean energy technology entrepreneurship. As with all I2V events, our goal is to engage a wide range of participants from the university community, including science and technology students and faculty as well as members of the surrounding business community.

This event is a co-production of the Venture Development Center, the National Collegiate Inventors & Innovators Alliance and the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center.

Cost: $10 Students, $35 Faculty and $75 General Admission
